When we lived in Washington and I was able to grow my own medicine, I decided to make some cannabis butter and from the butter I made some fudge and drop cookies. The fudge was very good at easing my pain and so were the cookies. The cookies didn't taste as good as the fudge, but they worked. I put it all in the freezer so they would keep and I would only eat them when I didn't feel like smoking and before the pain got too bad and there was time for them to take effect. It took a good half hour for me to even feel a difference.
My wife was prone to migrain headaches and had a really bad one that lasted about three days. She couldn't sleep or eat or even open her eyes if a light was on. I told her a few times she should eat a piece of my fudge since she don't like the smell of cannabis. Finally she decided to have me get her a piece of fudge as she was crying on the third day. About a half hour after eating that one little piece of fudge, she fell asleep on the coutch that she had been sitting on holding her head for three days. She slept for four hours, and when she woke up, she went into the kitchen and got something to eat, then went to bed. She slept until 9 AM the next morning and hasn't had a migrain since.
I'll tell you one thing for sure; this medicine works for many, many ailments and there are many ways to use it. Ask my wife who has never smoked marijuana in her life.
By the way, I just used recipes from an old Betty Crocker cook book and replaced the regular butter with cannabis butter.
